Dr. Ji Yon Shim Anderson was awarded her
DMA in Cello Performance from the
University of Illinois.
She has also earned degrees in both
Brazil and Switzerland.

As a performer,
she is an accomplished soloist; has been a member of several symphonies in the United States and Brazil; and worked with diverse ensembles. Please check the Multimedia Tab for some of her performances. By searching Youtube, you will also find other selections.
Her teaching experience
spans a wide range of ages and situations, beginners to professionals.
She has taught at the university level, but also worked with underprivileged students.
Since Dr. Anderson's education has included institutions in Brazil, Switzerland, and the United States, she is also able to give cello lessons in English, French, Portuguese, or Korean.
